The course is definitely hilly, but it’s the hills in the back half that are hardest. Hurricane Point is a long climb, but the views are so spectacular, that as long as you pace yourself you’ll actually enjoy going up (and you get a nice 2 mile decline after). Expect some wind, and because its a rural marathon you won’t get the crowd support you get at big city runs. There is the occasional band which was nice. The race starts out straight downhill, so make sure to pace yourself!
