This race was beautiful – nothing like the Napa Valley in the fall! The route is paved which is nice but also challenging in itself. Only downside are the few random cars that half to drive through since people or tourists have to get through to the highway, otherwise the route is totally blocked off so you can spread out and run!

This was my first ever half marathon, I think it’s a perfect race for first timers – the terrain wasn’t too rough, the elevation gains weren’t too challenging, and the road/trail was wide so you didn’t feel like you were slowing anyone up!
