There was a hiccup at the beginning with busses canceling last minute, but I don’t fault vacation races for that. They did well with what they had, and the rolling start ended up being beneficial with all the mud towards the start of the course. The course was downhill nearly the entire time which makes it great opportunity for a PR, but is a beast on the knees! Half trail and half paved roads, all with gorgeous views. The quantity of portajohns at the start and finish were amazing. I never had to wait more than a few seconds. Coffee at the start and bananas at the finish. I wish they had vegan chocolate milk like they had at a previous race.
