After 30 years the Medellin Marathon became a tradition and its organizers came to know their trade. It is the second time I go this distance (26 mi or 42 K) and I wish the same outcome for all marathons to come: I had the chance to achieve a new PB. The only thing I should slightly improve is the number of aid stations on the road. As for the rest, it has nothing to envy to any similar race.

Running the most important race of my hometown always has a deep significance to me. Weather was ideal this time; no cautions are enough when you run a half-marathon at 8,500 ft or 2,600 meters above sea level.

First full-marathon ever in my life and I just LOVED IT!!! Everything was just smooth: every mile you can count on soft drinks and medical stations, portable WCs and the crowd cheering and aiding. The finisher medal is just mind-blowing, the hughest I earned. Almost all the race is at sea level and the ups and downs are given by the bridges only: I strongly recommend this race if you intend to run your first 26.2 miles or 42.195 Km.
