Runners and walkers join us the Day After Christmas for this amazing downtown event that will sell extremely quickly as we are offering an actual (non virtual) race to finish out this 2020 year! In our greatest effort to continue to keep you safe in 2020 we continue to limit our number of participants, keep you completely outdoors, and distance you along the route for the comfort and the wellbeing of each of you. JUST LIKE EVERY YEAR OF THIS RACE, each race distance is to perfection in distance. However, to purposely draw a NON COMPETITIVE finisher’s group of runners and walkers, WE WILL NOT be offering timing on each race until awards parties are brought back in the spring of 2021. It will be up to each of you to wear your own watch to record an accurate start and finish time. Once we are in full vaccination mode, we will bring electronic timing back to the races but for now it continues to be about safe gathering, accurate distance, and awareness of others. Thank for you both joining us and for believing in our effort to continue to always put your safety first.
A FULL DETAIL of law enforcement officers, as well as our course volunteers, will be positioned at each crossing along the fully paved Fred Marquis Pinellas Trail between President Street and Curlew with 4 way stops at EVERY crossing point. Please use this information to run with awareness and conscious eye contact with drivers to ensure your own safety. Because this race is being held on Saturday morning, the day after Christmas, we expect very little road traffic so the course will be primarily clear for a fast and efficient morning. Our teen volunteer groups from Finish Lines For Scholarships 501c3 will staff the course with enthusiasm, water and holiday cheer. This is also our re-gift race so many of our teens in need will benefit from the gifts you choose to donate on race day. Thank you in advance for continuing this holiday tradition with us.
Note: Once you register there are no refunds due to cancelations or the conversion to a virtual event however that is not what we are anticipating for December 26th. As always if you do not check in on race day you can use your race credit to any of our Xanadu races listed on the calendar in 2021!
Each distance will be limited in numbers so register early in order to secure your space fall races as they are returning to the calendar are filling extremely quick. The race is open to runners and walkers alike and all participants are expected to be prepared to abide by each 4 way stop the course as we practice great safety measures to ensure fun and a good time had by all.
This year’s Dunedin Half offers 2 AMZING post race outdoor celebrations perfect for all runners, friends, and your family members who are not gathering inside over the holidays in an effort to stay safe and healthy. Not only is the December 26th start/finish line coordinated completely outside from Bauser’s downtown at 520 Douglas Avenue, all registrants are encouraged to arrive early and park downtown to take advantage of our 2 awesome post race celebrations after you run! The first is at Club Blur opening at 9 a.m. with discounted bloody mary’s and mimosa’s. Blur is open to the first 50 in attendance at beginning at 9 a.m. and masks are mandatory as you enter the back patio of one of Dunedin’s most iconic locations for both food and libations. Our second location is larger, completely outdoors, and open to all ages, with picnic tables and cornhole on the grassy noll at the HOB Brewery Company which can been seen off the Pinellas Trail by all 5K, 10K and Half Marathon runners as you run by on the Pinellas Trail during the race. Come back after you finish and everyone will enjoy great craft beer, wines, and seltzers as the HOB Brewing company opens early to celebrate your accomplishment! Though the race isn’t offering timing on our very accurate courses this year, we sure hope these great post race celebrations open to you an any friends and family, make up for the adjustments we have made to keep you safe, outdoors, and in GREAT HEALTH! All prices are discounted but not included in the price of race registration so be sure to open your own tab as you enjoy either post race celebration.
Please remember the event is a non profit so we invite you to bring all of your additional holiday wrapping paper and one or more gifts to re gift for someone in the community who will not be able to afford a holiday gift this year. Gifting is never too late and what a perfect time as we gather together the Day After Christmas at Bausers in downtown Dunedin!

The Dunedin Runs are unique to anywhere in Florida as the historic downtown district we host this race in a Fkiruda town that is full of Key West style charm with breweries and micro brews that have encouraged the growth and success of the craft beer industry. Your finisher’s medal is one that we encourage you to use to collect pins from beer towns and breweries from ALL OVER THE COUNTRY or even the world.
An email will go out to all registrants on race week with arrival instructions, your race bib assignment and an offer to defer to any other of the 2 dozen races on our annual calendar so that your registration fee remains safe to use as intended…TO RUN! Every race we host is staffed with dozens of local teens and their parents as a benefit to our non profit 501c3 “Finish Lines For Scholarship.”
