The “Niagara of Pennsylvania”, Bushkill Falls is among the Keystone state’s most famous scenic attractions. This unique series of eight waterfalls, nestled deep in the wooded Pocono mountains, is accessible through an excellent network of hiking trails and bridges which afford fabulous views of the falls and the surrounding forest. Promised Land State Park is on the Pocono Plateau. The park consist primarily of beech, oak, maple, and hemlock trees. Two lakes and several small streams add to the park’s outstanding scenic beauty. Fall is the best time to visit the Poconos. The lush forests will be in full glory with all the vibrant colors of their fall leaves.
We have decided to offer a marathon distance to our event. This course will be certified. We just made the decision to add the marathon distance to the race today. We are charging a very reasonable $80 entry fee. Marathon entries are limited to 300.
There will be an open start line. You can start the marathon or half marathon at 0630am up until 8am. We will have social distancing in place as well, and we ask that all in attendance wear a mask when not running.
Marathon runners will receive all the goodies that the other athletes in the events receive: shirt, medal, post race food, and awards!
For competitive marathoners and half marathoners, there will be a 0730am start for both events. All are welcome to start at that time. You don’t need to do any special registration to start in this wave, nor will there be any required race times to start then.
Courses will be run on park roads with a paved surface and views of the lake and fall colors with minimal hills.

The scenery was gorgeous and short nice. But the production was disappointing. The race was incredibly difficult to find- I almost missed it and was not alone. Two other cars of runners followed me trying to find it. If it’s that remote, maps and detailed instructions should be sent. They also ran out of medals; I provided my name and address but have yet to receive communication about when they will be sending said medals and apologies for the oversight. I am very disappointed.
