For over 30 years there has been racing excellence in West Texas. IRONMAN 70.3 Lubbock is the longest running IRONMAN 70.3 race in Texas, and one of the oldest in the US. There’s a special pride of West Texas that comes from the welcoming community of Lubbock. Known as the Friendliest City, home to hard workers and innovators. IRONMAN 70.3 Lubbock is evolving but remaining strong in its roots.

Swim
The swim is a 1.2-mile, single counter-clockwise lap in Historic Dunbar Lake.
Bike
The 56-mile bike course is an out and back course through the scenic Yellow House Canyons. The first 30 miles of the course will take athletes out on a flat and fast 10 miles and then through our challenging climbs on FM400, Spiral Staircase and Golf Course Hill. The returning portion will be a flat and fast course to downtown Lubbock, past The Buddy Holly Museum and on to Texas Tech stadium/T2. The bike will be supported by our wonderfully famous and friendly volunteers to take the best care of athletes as they bike the Yellow House Canyons and bike through Lubbock to finish at Texas Tech Stadium. Starting elevation: 3165 ft · Maximum elevation: 3224 ft · Total gain: 1282 ft
Run
The 13.1-mile run course is a double-loop course through the beautiful Texas Tech Campus. Athletes will see many art pieces displayed during the run including the Masked Rider, the Will Rogers statue, the Runners statue in front of the new Sports Performance Center and much, much more. Spectators will have a great view of the bike finish and portions of the run on University drive. The run finishes with an exciting run down the ramp onto the field with a spectacular finish in the Jones AT&T Football Stadium! The run will be supported by our wonderfully famous and friendly volunteers to take the best care of athletes as they run this flat and fast course.
