The Lost Soul Ultra is held in the Oldman River valley of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. One lap is 54 km with approximately 1,200 m (3,600 feet) of elevation incline and the same decline. Most of the hills will be in the range of 150-250 feet in size and you will hit about 16 of those in one lap.
Two events start on Friday morning:
– 100 mile (33-hour cutoff completing 3 laps)
– 100 km (21-hour cutoff completing 2 laps minus Leg 1 on final lap)
Note: The 100 km event is one of the few Western States Endurance Run (WSER) qualifiers in North America (WSER requires you to finish under 21 hours). In addition, 100 mile racers can earn a WSER qualification if they finish 2 laps (107 km) under 21 hours AND they finish 3 laps (100 miles) in 33 hours.
The 50 km event (actually closer to 54 km) starts on Saturday morning (11-hour cutoff completing one lap).
The toughest race on the prairies (and voted “best aid stations in the universe”) includes an awesome swag garment, finisher ROCK, and awards breakfast ticket for Sunday.
