Bend Salmon Run

The Salmon Run is one of Bend’s oldest organized races and a locals’ favorite! Kick off the race season with a true Bend tradition. One of the first half marathons of the year in the Northwest, the Salmon Run is a testing ground for those looking to be a factor on the racing scene. Enjoy the cool temperatures and flat terrain as well as those crystal clear Central Oregon skies!

Each year, the mighty salmon make an expedition of a lifetime back to their homes – traversing thousands of miles and overcoming countless obstacles on their river journeys. Their achievement is awesome in the true sense of the word. Drawing inspiration from this icon of the Pacific Northwest, we are excited to welcome you to join hundreds of runners on their own journeys. Choose the distance that works for you: 5K, 10K or half marathon. Each race is professionally chip-timed and supported by outstanding event staff and medical personnel who are there for you at every turn.

Like the mighty salmon pushing forward on its epic journey, Lay It Out Events continues this Bend tradition, kicking off the season in style with all new courses at the beautiful Pronghorn Resort. The sweet smell of sage beckons you to the high desert to enjoy a little R & R at the resort while killin’ it out on the trail.
