Are you ready for something special? With the opening of the Biggin Creek Bike Trail, we have the opportunity to provide you with a challenging new location for the event! People, we have HILLS, SHARP TURNS, DROPS, CHALLENGING CLIMBS!!! All right here in the Lowcountry! Solid, single track madness is what you will find here!
Back for more… the Double and Triple… Almost 9 Miler!
The Double:
Who wants to run almost 20 miles? Four times around Biggin Creek will get you close to 20 miles on your trusted GPS device!
The Triple:
Who wants to run almost 30 miles? Six times around Biggin Creek will get you close to 30 miles!
All participants that complete their distance get the Almost 9 Miler Finisher Coin.
Both of these new distances will start at the same time as the single (two looped) Almost 9 Miler, with the same staggered starting format and be their own stand alone event with their own awards. So, what are you waiting for? Lace up them sneakers and join us, once again, for the craziest trail race around.
Prizes are awarded to the top 5 finishers and the youngest/oldest participants and homemade veggie soup and bread will be available to the runners after the event.
Disclaimer: The Biggin Creek Trail was actually, accurately measured and is a five-mile loop. Due to the twists and turns of the trail, GPS watches have a hard time keeping up and are usually always off. Also, since we run a little out and back section at the beginning of the event, you will actually exceed 10 miles, 20 miles and 30 miles. So this makes the name, Almost 9 Miler a bit confusing, doesn’t it? Why yes… it does! Enjoy the race and have fun! Not everything has to be dead on accurate, right?
