This was a great running race: Organized, course layout, swag, information, etc. The Prairie Spirit Trail was fun to run on. Since it’s an old railway path, the largest hills … MORE
This was a great running race: Organized, course layout, swag, information, etc. The Prairie Spirit Trail was fun to run on. Since it’s an old railway path, the largest hills were nothing more than very slight inclines. Scenery was awesome and it consisted of mostly farms, fields, and trees. Course stemming from downtown Ottawa was nice, too, including city parks & neighborhoods. This particular day, the sun was out but the temps were well below freezing with gusting winds coming from the north. So heading south, weather was cold but not bad. At the turn-around heading north, temps & wind became a force to endure. All-in-all, this is a fun run, and if you want to complete a full or half marathon before the onset of winter, this is a good run to participate in.

This was a great running race: Organized, course layout, swag, information, etc. The Prairie Spirit Trail was fun to run on. Since it’s an old railway path, the largest hills were nothing more than very slight inclines. Scenery was awesome and it consisted of mostly farms, fields, and trees.
