Located in the heart of Lima, IRONMAN 70.3 Peru offers triathletes a unique experience in the South American event series, with a fast, seaside course in the gastronomic capital of the world.
Participants will swim 1.2 miles (1.9K) in the Agua Dulce beach waters in the Pacific Ocean. Water temperature is expected to be between 66-70 degrees Fahrenheit (19-21 Celsius) and water conditions are very calm.
From transition zone (ZT), located in Agua Dulce beach, participants will take on a fast 56 miles (90km), featuring a very flat route along the beach circuit road “Costa Verde”. There, participants will need to complete three (3) laps of 30 km loop over wide roads that will be opened exclusively for bikes.
The run course consists of a 13.1 miles (21.1KM) two-loop out-and-back route over the beachfront path pf Playa Agua Dulce. Offering views of Lima’s beautiful beaches, the course is mostly flat and fast and finishes on the beach at Agua Dulce beach, with a spectacular view of Lima’s skyline.
