5 Canyons Ultramarathon is one of the country’s most beautiful and rewarding ultras. Ascending almost 5,000 feet over 32 miles (51 kilometers), the run begins at Elbow Fork in Millcreek Canyon and then proceeds up and over Lamb’s Canyon Pass and down Lamb’s Canyon Trail through Lamb’s Canyon, down the Sheep Trail, and up to Little Mountain. It continues down Emigration Canyon and along the Bonneville Shoreline Trail, detouring up Red Butte Canyon and then finishing at the Utah Capitol building complex.
Always held on the second odd-numbered Saturday in September, 5 Canyons takes advantage of Utah’s most brilliant month for riding and trail running. The canyons provide cool temperatures, colorful foliage, and stunning views. And, there is no more abundance of beautiful canyons in all the world than along Utah’s Wasatch Front. The event is literally a breath of fresh air from start to finish.
Please also join us at the 5 Canyons Festival the evening before the big event. There will be lots of food, vendors, music, and a killer silent auction. 5 Canyons merchandise, including the coveted 5 Canyons finishers bike jersey, will be available for sale at the festival as well as on our DNA team store.

The Fight
All proceeds from 5 Canyons benefit Wheels of Justice (including Wings of Justice), a nonprofit dedicated to putting an end to child abuse. The inspiration for the ride is that Ain’t No Mountain High Enough to keep us from fighting for the most vulnerable among us, our children.
In addition to your registration fee, please consider including your family and friends in the fight by asking them to donate a penny for each foot of elevation you climb during the event. In this way, they can join you in showing that Ain’t No Mountain High Enough!
