It is in his memory that the mission of the Jim Hodge Memorial Run is to support those in the Marinette/Menominee community who require treatment for a lung condition and to encourage organ donation. Come join us for an enjoyable day, and support a great cause.
The Jim Hodge Run has moved to the weekend of the Menominee Waterfront Festival in August. Although the Festival will not be held in 2021, the Jim Hodge Run will, following state guidelines for outdoor events. The run committee is working closely with Tortoise and Hare Timing, the City of Menominee and staff from Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area to ensure a safe run for everyone.
The routes follow 1st street in Menominee along Green Bay and through the Downtown. It heads out to the lighthouse pier and swings past the iconic Menominee Lighthouse. The 10K actually crosses the state line into Wisconsin before it returns along the bay to the finish line.
The goal of the Jim Hodge Memorial Run is to help and support those who are afflicted with a lung condition, encourage organ donation and to keep Jim’s memory alive and active in the community. Over the last 8 years the event has raised over $110,000 thanks to the generosity of supporters. All proceeds from the run are kept local and supported the Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation Center and its patients at Bay Area. A week doesn’t go by when one of these patients doesn’t express their gratitude for what we are doing for them.
Donations will be managed through the Provident Health Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit private Foundation with a mission to improve local health care and the health of our communities.
