The Calarat Challenge Trail Running Festival is a half marathon, 10K, 5K and Kids 1K trail race that starts and finishes at the Cal-Wood Education Center. It’s run on a number of different trails throughout the beautiful private properties of Cal-Wood and Balarat Outdoor Education Center.

My first trail run, and very difficult given the elevation gain and high starting elevation to begin with. However, it was so much fun, and I would highly recommend to everyone. The views were absolutely incredible. The community was great, and this race has gotten me wanting to do more trail runs in the near future.
