Viking Dash Trail Run Charlotte

Come join Viking Dash Trail Run and #FindYourInnerViking! All participants receive a t-shirt and Viking weapon inspired finisher medal! Age group and overall awards are given out to the top 3 male and female finishers of each division. Be sure to wear your best Viking attire as a costume contest will be held before the start of the race!

The Viking Dash Charlotte Trail Run takes place at Poston Park located in the small Charlotte bedroom community of Lowell – only a short drive west from downtown Charlotte out I-85 towards Gastonia. The park is actually managed by the Gastonia Parks & Recreation Department.

* All thee distances utilize miles of natural trail surfaces – not terribly technical but narrow in spots.
* There are also some surprising elevation changes that will make the races interesting.
* The 5K will consist of one loop.
* The 10K will also consist of one loop (a longer loop)
* The Half Marathon will consist of two loops of the 10K course – plus another section added to get the additional distance needed
* There will be one location at about the 2.5 mile point, where participants in the 5K will go one direction and participants in the 10K & Half Marathon will go a different direction.
* There will then be a second spot at the far end of the 10K loop, where participants in the 10K will go one direction and participants in the Half will go a different way.
* The initial quarter of a mile at the beginning of all three races will be on grass.
