Not often in life are we given the chance to be heroic, please join us as we run in honor of the fallen First Responders who have given all, for us.
All proceeds from the Heroes on Hines Half Marathon & 5K will go for the long term maintenance and upkeep of the First Responders Memorial located at the corner of Hines Drive and Haggerty Road in Plymouth Township.
First Responder divisions will have the opportunity to create their own teams for camaraderie and competition. Individuals will be invited to sign-up on their own to increase the crowd support of this event.
Three weeks out from a Michigan marathon weekend (Detroit and Grand Rapids) makes this a great opportunity for racers in-training to enjoy a fun, supported last long run.
Please be one of the Heroes on Hines!
Aid Stations will be along the course about every 2-3 miles.
Please note, there is a 3 1/2 hour cut-off for the half-marathon.
Entry fee includes a technical race shirt for all distances & finisher’s medal for all finishers in the half marathon and 5K!

Hines Park is a picturesque parkway in Southeast Michigan and a good venue for a road race. Having the Wayne County American flag hoisted from a fire truck ladder was a nice touch. They also had a stage with singer and pre-race music. From a logistics standpoint the event was well organized: well marked with a good number of aid stations, portapotties, and hand washing stations. I’ll definitely run this again next year.
