Miner’s Lady 8-Hour Race

Join the Miner’s Lady Crew where the Blue Ridge mountains meet the Shenandoah River. A beautiful 10K loop with 850 ft of elevation gain meandering through the mountains, mostly single track with a few waterfalls and creek crossings in the backwoods of Harpers Ferry, WV.

You’ve got 8 hours to squeeze in as many loops as you can; 8 is the record – can you beat it? We have a cap of 145 runners, so make sure to register sooner rather than later. Quite possibly the inspiration for John Denver’s song, come see why this race is almost heaven!

The course is a mix of crushed gravel and trail. Some areas are somewhat technical, but the course is very “runnable” to allow for multiple loops and great training mileage.

For Love of Children
All proceeds for this event go to FLOC, For Love of Children, and the Rolling Ridge Foundation. FLOC is an outdoor education center that opened in 1971. Situated on 350 wooded acres in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, the original Wilderness School was founded to help youth in Washington, DC by taking them out of the city to live and learn in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Since then, it has given many other children the opportunity for hands on learning through a variety of activities.
