The whole race is basically one loooong avenue up, turning point and a small loop added on the way back. We had beautiful weather but if it wasn’t for some bridges / slight ups and downs it would have been absolutely boring. Lille is a beautiful city but the route was not nearby any of that beauty. The name “international” in the marathons name is a bit misleading too. Given you run parts of it in France and Belgium all communication and the website is in French only. Few spectators. Bag drop off but no showers. Not a race to repeat for me.

The whole race is basically one loooong avenue up, turning point and a small loop added on the way back.
