Our goal is to fund 100 “Wells of Life Giving Water” Wells to supply clean water and hope to the rural villagers of Uganda. One well costs $6,000 to produce and install, and serves 1,000 people for 25 years. 100% of the well donation money goes solely to well production costs. This is great information to give your donors! Sign up 60 team members and raise $100 each, or sign up 20 team members and raise $300 each. Invite friends, family and co-workers, spread the love!
We believe clean drinking water is a basic human right for all people. We view the lack of water as the taproot of poverty in the developing world. By providing water to communities, we have seen a measurable step towards sustainable living, a decrease in water-borne illness, a 50% decrease in infant mortality, and the opportunity of schooling for children, especially girls and women.
Equally important is the opportunity for our local families to draw closer together through service. Being of service increases our empathy, humanity and appreciation for the gifts we have daily. Everyone has an opportunity to make a difference, to use their time, talent and treasures to save lives; and inspire their peers. Partnering with corporations allows everyone to play a part and promotes teamwork. This strengthens community and family bonding; and everyone becomes a champion of change!
When our local communities and school children place a “well of life” in a community in Uganda, they’re able to see photos of the villagers they are serving. There will be a dedication plaque placed at the well with the donor’s name and message. And the people of Uganda are able to see that their lives matter! Giving the gift of clean water is the most measurable act of love and service anyone can provide.
