CIM Race never ceases to amaze

I did this race as my first marathon back in 2016 and finished it in 3:38:40. Did this race again this year in order to redeem myself from last year … MORE
I did this race as my first marathon back in 2016 and finished it in 3:38:40. Did this race again this year in order to redeem myself from last year for a strong finish. Ended up with a 11 min PR over last year and 6 min PR over my recent marathon a month earlier. The weather was just amazing from the start to the finish. Not too cold and or too warm. Rained the previous night and was in the early 40’s at the start. I would definitely recommend this race for anyone who is looking to either PR or get a BQ. I’ve already reg’d for 2018 race and hope to smash through for that BQ for 2020.

I liked the way the race was organized
1. at the expo, advices by the pace team
2. The excitement of the volunteers, crowd support was what got through me for the last 10k distance.
3. Mile markers was a great help to understand how much further had to go in order to finish.

I loved the race being my first ever Half Marathon. The race course was a truly scenic view with all possibilities of not just being a flat course but with all the ups and downs in the entire course. The best take away would be the scenic view of the San Francisco city skyline view from the bridge.
