It was a great run. Perfect weather, great course, good organization. Helps me get over the winter doldrums.
Parked at the great highway and took the shuttle to starting point. Bib pickup was well organized at various locations across the Bay area so I didnt have to drive to SF for that. The volunteers seem to have a better color shirt than the participants. What gives? Need an option to swap

This is a great race
– Course is beautiful and flat
– Well organized with lots of water spots, portable toilets
– We get to train all of Jan, great weather to train in and get over the winter blues
The only downside is the timing of this race. Its in early Feb so what that means is that you are at the mercy of the weather gods. Last year it was raining, this year it didn’t rain but the wind was blowing so the Great HIghway run was a bit challenging wrt wind & sand.
