Fantastic race, plan on it raining, slightly harder I think than CIM though not much, very well organized.
I very much appreciated that the busses departed Vintage High School almost exactly at 5:30, so no hanging around. That gave just enough time to prepare at the start, again no big hanging around.
Its also a great idea that the race finishes at the High School, plenty parking,
indoor facilities if its raining, no mud to trail around.
Scenery A+, support can be a bit thin on the ground but come on, what do you expect, its not Chicago, and the support that was there I really appreciated.
Also a very nice touch that somebody basically asked me a few times
if I was ok when I crossed the line. I was ok, but that was cool, that was
the right thing to do. I have to say thanks for that and apologies I did not get your name.

Flying down the whole length of Grand Street in Alameda for me is the highlight. Free beer and burritos at finish.
Race is well organized. The only down I would say is the local support, but as the race becomes more popular this must surely change. The finish festival with bands beer and burritos makes up!!!

Great race, but real bummer that no mile markers after mile 8.
Also I was ambling along probably 7:30 pace – when suddenly according to the mile markers, mile 6 I ran an 8:53, then mile 7 a 6:21. Give me a break.
Great event though – good start finish and registration.
