I did the relay and did legs 2 and 3. Beautiful course, though it was overcast that day. Lots of rolling hills in leg 2 and of course leg 3 had the biggest hill of them all. Aid stations were plentiful and there were medical staff throughout the course. It was very well ran. The only issue was waiting for the relay bus to leave at the end of leg 3. I didn’t make it on the earlier 3 buses, and had to wait until the buses from previous legs passed us. Also, the traffic back into the finish line was busy, as we were behind the truck that picked up the cones. Otherwise it was great.

I’m new to running and new to Brazen races. This is my third Brazen race and they are definitely solid. They have aid stations consistently set up, the volunteers are super nice, and the spread afterward is great, with fruit, bagels, chips, etc, and its it ice cream. They announce your name when you cross the finish line, and the medals are a great size and quality. I definitely will continue to run their races.

This was my second race with Brazen and again, it was well run as their other races. This was my first time on this type of trail (fire trail) so that was definitely different for me. There are just a few spots with shade, so if you have a warmer day (like we did this past year), it made it difficult. Even seasoned runners I’ve spoken to had a hard time with how hot it was (I’m a beginner). In any case, the medal, the food, and the shirt was great. I would do Brazen races again.

This was my first 1/2 and first Brazen race, so I didn’t know what to expect. What I did know was that because of the heavy rain we had this year, that they had to change the course. There were two out-and-back portions, which for a first timer like me, can be hard. They also said it was flat, but we had some minor rolling hills. Again, for a first timer, that made it difficult because I wasn’t expecting it. I’m unsure if things would’ve been different if the original course was open. In any case, it was a great first experience for me. They had enough water stations, bathrooms/portapotties and the volunteers were super nice. I’ve since ran a couple more Brazen races, and will continue to do so.
