This race is put on so well any other race you attend will pale in comparison. From the restrooms in parking lot, to corral staging areas with more restrooms adjacent, to the easy flowing separate corral starts to the well staffed water stops the organization is easy to see. They’ve thought of everything. And who doesn’t love the view running downhill into Cowtown along the bricks. Wasn’t my best time due to training but still got through due to awesome crowds along the race route. Not to mention high fiving Betsy Price. Even the first time racer would enjoy this one! The course will test you with all the hills but there is so much crowd support along the way and the scenery is enjoyable.

We had trouble getting to our corral and actually ended up at very back of race to start. So had to weed through a lot of folks. Not sure how were supposed to get to correct starting position as fence was up entire way to start. Liked race but like Cowtown better.

This was my first big race half marathon. The course was challenging hilly but fun! Had unexpected early delay but once got rolling again ran well! I will be back as this race is well put on and well supported by tons of folks along the course. Bands too! Plenty of water stops. Look forward to another one!

This race is way diff than Cowtown or Dallas in fact there are not that many people running. It is out and back closed course so nothing to distract your attention. Great views of lake though. Good tune up for Cowtown a month later. Very hilly!
