For starters, I think the reviews here are either full of misinformation or just really outdated. This course was extremely flat, fast, and had maybe a handful of very very short inclines. There was water/Powerade/gel every 2 miles and there were portalets throughout the course as well. The swag was awesome and the BOOMING cannon start rattled my insides, so dang cool! A couple things about the race really need to be fixed though. There was no 4 hour pacer for the marathon, which honestly blew me away. Additionally, the course bottlenecked really badly within the first mile while we were all still packed like a buncha sardines. It went from 2 lanes down to a beaten up and pothole ridden 1 lane road, which made it incredibly difficult to maneuver during an early stage of the race. Thankfully that road was only about a mile, but overall this was a wonderful race and I would highly recommend to anyone! Can’t wait to do it again someday.
