Rolling course with beautiful views. Repeat runner and sunrise as we are running up the cliffs is always a favorite. The loops of the different trails with a common aid station make it fun because you get to see people doing all the distances at the aid station.

The most beautiful sunrise on any course ever. Watching the sunrise over Zion National park is stunning. His race has some of everything. Dirt roads with views where you feel like you can run forever. Single track dirt trails, running along the rim of a plateau, slick rock, uphill, downhill, you name it. The race expo was so fun. There was a s’mores station that my family loved. A coloring board to write your name, backdrops for photos. The race itself was ideal. Everything was well marked. Distances to next aid stations were written on boards. The volunteers and aid stations were top notch. One of my favorite parts of Vacation Races is how rejuvenated I feel after aid stations because of the high quality and caring volunteers. I’ve done every ultra that vacation races offers and I absolutely plan on running these events over and over. Highly recommend.

There’s a reason this course is rated high in the difficulty scale. High altitude, big climbs and descents, plus the constant distraction of gorgeous scenery. It was honestly difficult not to stop every few minutes to admire the view and take pictures. This course felt medium difficult to me. Varied terrain including maintenance roads, single track dirt, a few technical sections, and even a couple of hop over water crossings. Vacation races always has extremely friendly and helpful volunteers. Having well stocked aid stations always helps boost morale and minimize the amount of stuff I have to carry. I highly recommend any races put on by vacation races.

This race really takes advantage of the uniqueness of the area, and the high quality of the local trails to provide a top notch race. Absolutely gorgeous course. More rolling slick rock than I expected. Prepare for any weather conditions, practice some hills, and sign up for this race.

This race is absolutely worth it. It’s worth the training, it’s worth the travel, it’s worth the money. This was my first 50 mile attempt, my first DNF, and I’d do it again. Lots of slick rock and sand. The race is organized well. The volunteers and aid stations are fabulous. Should be on every trail runners bucket list.
