Sarah Inskeep's Staging Area

This was not only my first time running a trail race, but a vert trail race! All of the logistics and communications leading up to the race were thorough and easy to follow. Upon getting to the race, we camped, which was also a first for me the day before a race, and the Pike Lake campground was really enjoyable. The morning of the race was awesome! The start line was easy to locate (loved the lights and music) and I was able to get extra pins for my bib and review the race course one more time. All of the race team staff and volunteers were incredibly helpful and encouraging throughout the entire race. The race itself is probably the most challenging race I’ve done to date. The race course was beautiful and both mentally and physically challenging, which I enjoyed 90% of the run lol. I managed to not get lost thanks to the course being well marked and volunteers staffing the aide station along the course. Once finishing the race, I was surprised to learn that I placed in the 10K. Also first for me. All top finishers were given very generous (and really cool) prizes, including cash! Had a lovely podium area for photos, which is a must for any race. All around, it was an excellently organized and executed event and I plan to run more TINAR races in the future!
