If you’ve never run an event with Vacation Races, or a half marathon for that matter, Shenandoah is a perfect first. All of their races are well organized. The locations are well chosen with interesting surroundings. You can’t go wrong taking part in a Vacation Races event!!!

This half was an inaugural event, in the time of covid-19. With that, I was not expecting perfection. But, given that, it was a phenomenal race. Patience was required at packet pickup, but it was not your normal situation.
The first 6 miles of the course was very challenging. The trail was rocky, and you needed to watch your footing. But it was the BEST part of the race! The scenery is unique in the area. Nothing like it where I’m from. If I was in the area, I would run it again.
