As a local San Francisco based runner, I’ve seen the City on foggy days and clear days. On a clear day, the golden gate bridge is spectacular with an amazing view of SF from the Sausalito side. This year, the race was very foggy. It’s not a big deal for me since I live here, but if someone were traveling here for the sights, they may be disappointed. Since they removed the ability to run on the roadway of the bridge this year, it lost a lot of appeal for me. The only reason I would come back is due to proximity convenience.
