2024 is the 25th anniversary of this race. It was awesome to be apart of it! This is my 2nd year doing the race and doing the 20K Challenge! I enjoy doing the 20K Challenge and getting a 2’d medal. This years medal was very well made and looks great!

This is a fun race! It has a good mix of parking lot & in-park parts of the course! The volunteers make the race better and to run through the park is great! The only downside is that the paths in the park were not cleaned off. There were a lot of wet leaves on the course, especially in the park. With the steep hills, this can be a big safety hazard. Other than that, it was a great experience and I’m already registered for the race in 2024!

This was my first 10K in-person race since I began running. It was an awesome race with a lot of great people. The scenery was beautiful! You gotta watch your step sometimes because a lot of Monument Avenue is either brick or cobblestone.

This was my first race ever! I had just started training 3 months before this race. It was amazing! So many people in costumes and you could feel the excitement! I loved that when each corral started, they shot off fireworks! It was definitely a hot one! I didn’t realize how sweaty I’d get. Definitely bring a change of clothes or a towel with you so when you drive home, you don’t soak your car seat. Going through 2 parks and a resort was an unforgettable experience!
