Arrive at 725am. Packet pickup was fast and easy. There was an Expo on the Saturday I didn’t attend. I used gear check which was easy. Race started on time again. And Jesus, downhill of the bridge at the start. This was a lope run, some deep and not o deephills or inclines either way my legs was fussing at me.. before we knew it 7miles just like that. Crowd support was good, especially the last mile through the university. I enjoyed the scenery here. Post race Expo. Chocolate milk, water, chips, bananas after race fuel.

Race Day. Arrived at 730am to get free parking( success) race started on time. Lord, we started downhill, with 1 steep up- hill. Then it was little up- hills. My legs told me repeatedly, what are we doing.. 😆.  But we made it through. Crowd support okay, better at the end..After race fuel bananas, of course water, chips, protein bars. Since we ran from one point to the next. We were bussed back to the start.. which felt like the longest bu

It was a good sweet race. The wine festival is just on race day. Not many options for those who don’t drink. My result time is different, than there result time. I noticed at 4th mile the race was short on miles. I ran the extra after crossing the finishing line for my 13.1. ,thinking it would be corrected further up. Other than that it was a good race.

The race started at 730am. Packet pick up same day, no expo. The route was in the sunset park. 5k, 10k & Half Marathon runners started together. The park was op3n, so there were no participants walking and walking their dogs you had to watch out for. Also, since it was in the park space on walk way was limited. Water stations were in 2.5 miles and when you did the turn around to start 2 &3rd laps if you were running further. No crowed participant. And limited people once the half was finishing up. Not many participants for the half only about 40 people. Small race… cool medal.

It all started at 7am… loved. The only incline was in Bendal Gardens, which I didn’t really feel it at all. Lots of crowed support, and food stations along the route, from alcohol stand, to boudin, craklins, and fruits. This race I would do all over again.. it was well organized.

I ran my fast half marathon, on this route.. 8 mins faster than the first marathon. This was my second state, second half marathon

The route changes at the last moment. But it was a great route, my first loops, and inclines. There was lots of crowd participation. I drove in from Louisiana that morning, parking was not good, but found a spot not far from start line, and entrance to gate.
