I definitely did not do enough hill training (or training in general to be honest), so this wasn’t my best time by far and I was feeling the burn by the end… But it was all worth it to run this amazing course. Starting in the marina we ran to and across the bridge, down underneath it, and back. The good thing about knowing I wasn’t running for a PR meant I was ok stopping along side the race for some photo ops with the bay as a background. The terrain included asphalt (some very cracked and uneven), cement, gravel, and dirt. I would have liked a little more information provided beforehand as it was hard to figure out where to park and where to pick our bibs the morning of… On that note I don’t love the fact that it costs $37 to pick them up day-of if you can’t get into town for the expo the day before… But otherwise the organization of the race was good and I hope to run it again next year.
