The scenery is out of this world. The organization and communication is so well done. When part of the route fell into the ocean a month before the race, forcing organizers to scramble and find an alternate route, I was so impressed with how they handled it. They kept us informed, and come race day, everything was seamless.
The medals and post race snacks are bomb.
The course is challenging, but the scenery makes every hill worth it.
If you get to run Big Sur, count yourself lucky as I understand that it sells out most years.
Aid stations and porta potties are plentiful on course.
Orange slices were my favourite at the aid stations!
