I’ve done this about 5 times in the last 7 years. This year the course is a little different, not much but I was not expecting the change. Overall, still mostly flat and fast. If you haven’t done this before you would like that. It feels this year the course is about 1/2 mile more inside the park and 1/2 mile less along the beach. So, if you like park scenery that’s a plus for you. There was also rain at the very beginning, but it stopped soon after. This time of the year you can’t tell what the weather will be like.

This is a great race. After a year off for in person races. They did a great job bringing it back. Organization is terrific. The race course is flat and a beautiful, with a big piece going through the park in paved roads.

Great course very well organized lots of helpful volunteers in case you are new and have questions. Weather is always a question this time of the year in SF but is still doable with rain or some wind. You run on the road so no mud or slippery ground if there was rain the day before.

First time I run this race. Will keep doing it and will recommend everybody. I beat my previous PR by 3 min! I know you can not count on it … MORE
First time I run this race. Will keep doing it and will recommend everybody. I beat my previous PR by 3 min! I know you can not count on it but the conditions of the day were great for PR times. Volunteers were wonderful and the route was great. I had a friend doing her first half marathon ever and I think she got hooked now.
