Part of “York Days” celebration, this 5k features excellent race production/direction, a scenic course with plenty of shady spots and a short stretch along Long Sands Beach. The volunteers are cheery & helpful and the post-race snacks are plenty. There were massages available at the end as well! Course was rolling and it felt like it was mostly downhill. I loved the early start and attractive tshirt. Definitely returning a next year.

This is a course of rolling hills through a charming mixed town/suburb setting. The Ramble celebrates journalistic & literary freedom and features costumed actors reading from the works of James Joyce all along the route. Good support from volunteers and townspeople, great after-party. Other unique features include a gong start and truly collectible tshirt. If you are in the area, check out this race – it’s very satisfying and fun. I found the course a little challenging – did I mention the rolling profile?- but I love it!
