Williamsburg makes for a great destination race! Plenty to check out and do in the area (colonial downtown, Jamestown, Yorktown) and lots of good restaurants. Race organization was top notch, the course was beautiful, most of it is on trails but well maintained trails and plenty of room. Scenery on the course was great! Finish line was actually in the college gym which was pretty neat, good music and a local brewery was running the beer garden. Will be returning next year!

For a small town race in the middle of nowhere, it was one of the best organized events I’ve been to in a long time! The whole community seems to come out and support the event, from the morning bfast race bags at the Econolodge (yes, at a small budget hotel!) to the course, a plethora of aid stations, community block parties along the course, and of course the finish line are. The finish line area had music, a few vendors, lots of different post race food choices (pizza, McDonalds, fruit, donuts, and more).
One of the neat things that Start2Finish (event management company) had available was an instant results setup. You could walk up to a kiosk, type in your bib number, and get a printout of your Gun/Chip time, rank in your division, rank overall, and average pace, very neat!
