Technically a loop but large portions of out & back in the full course. The half would have been way more interesting but I was going for a PB and trying to break 4. It didn’t happen but still a good race. Perfect weather,!
Water and Powerade every mileish, some were better organized than others but always appreciate having them a mile apart. There were also quite a few unofficial tailgate style stops with beer, mimosas, pickles, bananas, water etc. I did appreciate having a lot of people out on the course.
The course itself I did not like at all. Flat but boring. And I don’t do well in the out and back, I get too distracted by other runners.
Packet pickup was small but convenient. All the race volunteers were amazing

Very well run race. I loved that it started at a convention center so there was plenty of indoor bathrooms for pre and post-race and it was inside! It was lovely to have real chairs and tables to relax at pre-race, not having to be out in the elements was a nice though (it was great weather but this could have been clutch)
They have pacers for the marathon and since the half and full are together for the first ~11 miles it was nice to have company and steady pacing. The water stops did get a bit crowded at times and there could have been more of them along the course since it was rather warm.
Course support was great for the half. Lots of fans and families out cheering and even handing out oranges, beer, mimosas, water, etc. It was fun!
Overall a relatively flat course for the half.
Post race was well organized! There were so many volunteers making sure people were ok and directing you where to go. My only complaint is I needed water closer to the finish line (it wasnt that far but I was thirsty). The post race food option was pasta with marinara sauce which I thought was kinda unusual but it was also kinda perfect. The water came in a reusable sports bottle rather than the typical single use plastic bottle so I also appreciated that.
The medal…wow…HUGE! It actually hurt to wear it around the expo; it was so heavy.
Overall, a great race in a nice town. On my quest to run a race in each state, I don’t like to repeat states but this was one race that I might actually consider doing again.

Well done and well organized race. My biggest (maybe only) complaint is that the course was only 13M.
I was worried about running on “boardwalk” but it was not slippery and not difficult to navigate. Course was well marked and supported with water. I did see one station that had gels but didn’t see what kind. I was also very pleasantly surprised to see them using reusable cups on the course.
Post-race party was nice. Bananas and oranges and water immediately at the finish line and then inside the courtyard was 3 different wrap options, including a veggie wrap, with chips and a cookie. Free beer but they ran out so I feel bad for people doing the full, unless you were in the leadpack you probably missed out on beer.
Overall a nice, smaller race.

Race morning was well organized and buses to start line were efficient and easy to navigate.
Race was nice, all along the coast, beautiful views even if it was mostly dense fog. Hill at mile 12 sucked, other than that, flat.
Post race food was lacking, pulled pork sandwiches and gumbo. But there was plenty of beer! And good beer at that. Swag was nothing special but the medal is kinda cool.

Easy course, nice run. Well supported. All was good. Except it wasn’t a full half marathon. So I ran my ass off for nothing. I should have PBedw instead o was quarter miles short. So frustrating.
I mean it was cheap and a cool race. But if you’re trying to place or PR, find a sanctioned course!
