This run has it all – fantastic scenery, road running, trail running, and very challenging! The road portion has a long climb and the trail portion has technical portions that have some steep, short ups and downs that you won’t really pick up on from the course elevation map. Vacation Races are always well organized and the medals are great. There will always be some hiccups with so many runners in one place but they do a great job. This is a challenging run I’d definitely recommend!

I run quite a bit but this one got the better of me! Really challenging course in itself but it rained the whole time!! Also, I usually wear glasses – they fogged up about 1.5 miles in and I had to give them up! Brutal and, at times, dangerous trail race/run BUT I really enjoyed it! I loved pushing myself to the limits and solving challenges I’d never faced before in real time on the course! Also, had a few fellow runners that I ran with for a bit which also makes it enjoyable – the fellowship. I’d do it again – no question!
