The corrals really help with the start.
Good water stations along the course.
Some good music and fans along the way.

Minor complaints:
Bib numbers hard to read. Black numbers on white background is best.
T-shirt color is not good.

The good: Corrals were well organized. The start went well.
Mile markers were better this year. Water stops were good-sized and
well staffed. Lots of good music along the course. Lots of clever costumes.
Beautiful course.

The bad: The finish area was very crowded and disorganized. I got a bottle of water and banana without much trouble. Found people giving out finisher medals quickly. Couldn’t find the t-shirt area easily. When I finally found it, the poor kids were holding up hand-printed signs on cardboard to show the different sizes (SM, M, L, XL.) DISORGANIZED!!!

Saw many people with sealed 6 -pack or 12-pack boxes of the Peet’s coffee samples. It would have been nice if each runner could get one can. Was no one handing out samples? Did people just grab boxes? Something was really screwy.

Please spend some money on a HUGE sign to show where the t-shirt distribution is and spend some money on t-shirt size signs also.

Overall, the race was a lot of fun. I’ll be back next year.

This was my 44th consecutive Bay to Breakers. No kidding.
I love this race. I wouldn’t miss it. Interesting course, some good music,
lots of neat costumes, etc. The start with the corrals was pretty well
organized. Lots of problems after that. Didn’t see mile markers for miles
1, 2, 3 and 5. Did see 4, 6 and 7. These are really important for runners who
are trying to pace themselves. Maybe add some helium balloons to make
the signs more obvious.

Walkers and selfie takers were in the way. Please make it clear that runners
should stay to the left and walkers should stay to the right. If you need
to take a selfie, try to not get in the way of the runners.

There were enough water stations. The kids handing out water should
try to spread out more.

The finish area was pretty well organized, but there need to be signs
pointing to where to pick up our t-shirts.

I’ll be back next year.

The Wharf to Wharf is one of my favorite races. The organizers do a
terrific job. There are lots of bands and musical groups along the beautiful course. The T-shirts are often well designed. Not to be used for washing your car like some race shirts.
There’s a free shuttle bus from the parking areas to the start and another free shuttle bus from the finish area back to the parking area.
Mile markers are easy to spot. T-shirt and swag distribution is handled
very nicely. Be sure to sign up early as this one sells out in about one hour.
