It’s a beautiful course along paved roads through the countryside. You pass through farmlands, along a stream, and I’d imagine that battles took place as you’d run by where a battle could’ve taken place. Not much crowd support but it was very clearly marked where to turn. 1-2 port-a potties if you’re someone that needs that along your run! Also, there was not Gu or Gatorade at the water stations so make sure to bring your own! Swag had lots of fun things like coozie, stickers, box of 12 IV mix, deep woods sample, and a few other things. The medal is beautiful and had a quote from Abe Lincoln on the back! This was probably one of my favorite races so far! I’d recommend the race if your someone that loves running through scenic paths!

Course begins and ends at the winery! There was someone leading a warmup before the start. Course goes to a long stretch of a paved bike path. There was a high school band playing, crowds at water stations, and the trees were changing. It was a beautiful fall day! Only downside was there was one port-a potty at mile 2/10. I rarely go during races but if you’re someone that uses it keep that in mind! After the race they had food truck and a band playing while you had your free glass of wine!
