Love the swag (medals and 2 shirts)! The new route was hillier than the usual route. The 6:30 start time was much earlier than usual which likely impacted the normally very heavy and enthusiastic crowd support. Although there was no post-race party due to Covid this year, they distributed bags full of yummy treats. I’m looking forward to next year’s race; wouldn’t miss it for anything.

Rolling hillls were challenging (mostly because I don’t train on hills). Pizza at finish line was delicious! Plenty of good parking and portable toilets. No mile markers on course. Awards were a little “different” – a small piece of unfinished 2 x 4 wood with a palm tree stamped on it. Unfortunately, there was a lot of automobile traffic on the course, more than I remember the 2 previous times I’ve run this race.

This is a very well organized race. There are a lot of hills, so take that in mind while training. Good post race food. The weather has been perfect both times I’ve run it. I will definitely do it again next year. They also give you a free picture of yourself running!
