This was my second time going to the Cowtown. We got there pretty early and were able to find parking with ease. The official speaker does a good job at counting down to make sure everyone lines up on time and getting everyone pumped up. The music at the start line was great! The course was nice and going through the neighborhood was so fun, with people cheering out there. I did notice the roads were getting bad this year and saw quite a few potholes and a couple of people fell while running. The part I dislike the most is the long incline at the last stretch but good course overall. There were plenty of porta-potties to use. One of the things I didn’t like was when I finished the race I couldn’t get over to the spectator area because it was all fenced off so I didn’t get to see the rest of my group run to the finish line. The medal and shirt were nice and the post-race celebration was fun. One of the best races around DFW!

The swag from this race was awesome, one of the best shirts I’ve gotten and I’ve worn multiple times since. The course itself was hilly but the roads were nice and even, I wouldn’t say it’s very scenic though. Lots of pace groups to choose from. The after-party was okay, I feel like it could be a little more upbeat. There were not as many water stations along the course but thankfully I was prepared with my water. Overall it was good, I like the legacy medals they are doing, pushes me to want to run it again this year.
