What a way to become a marathoner!!

I came back from a foot break and had to run a marathon while I was still 45! This was perfect for my first. Not to far from home, or an Airport. Exciting Expo the hype was real, first time meet and greets, lots of sponsors, Boston was represented. CIM’s swag is amazing, not just a shirt, but socks, (interchangeable) head gear and complimentary photos! I stayed a walking distance to the bus pick up to the start. At the race start, there were over 300 Porta pottys so not a long wait! Beautiful rolling course with lots of cheer, hydration, supplements and FRUIT! The end you knew was near when you hit 23 miles and the crowds were thick, .2 miles my energy flew back in my body as I yelled “F Ya” or maybe I channeled Shalane’s energy! From medal to friendly photos from strangers, bag pick and the beautiful Capital Christmas tree back drop, it was amazing! Plus of course our local Sierra Nevada beer at the finish! Thank you CIM for a great marathon. I didn’t think I would do another but I already signed up for NEXT YEAR 2018 that is how impressed I am. And I still can’t walk 🙂
