Highlights: Rob Krar whizzing past me twice. Finding Scott Jurzak’s name along the historic PCT Hearing some trickling water at the low spots. Very friendly volunteers. Sports massage. KHRaces always marked perfectly throughout the event. Great aid stations with chips, coke, delicious fresh fruits. Lowlights: Scenery is unvaried desert chapparal steep ridges with no overhead trees on 30k route. Trail was barely single-track slidy sand on the edge of cliffs with faster runners passing constantly making all the runner passings quite unsafe with not much to hold onto— making it not a peaceful or contemplative trail race experience like others.
