This first time I did this race it was a 55k but I guess they cut out the shortest loop to make it a 50k. The trails are all very runnable and the weather is typically nice this time of year in southern Utah. The red rock scenery of southern Utah makes this race especially beautiful. Be forewarned, it does start earlier than most races and you have to catch a shuttle to the start so be ready for that early alarm clock!

Race website reported elevation change of around 6k but my watch got it at 17K+, so it was more challenging in that aspect than I expected. Aid stations were great as was the course which has a mix of dirt roads, jeep roads and twisty single-track.
