Evergreen puts on very well organized events. Lots of enthusiastic staff and volunteers, local sponsors, solid aid stations and finish line swag.
Lord Hill Trail Run starts strong with a tough climb up the power line trail! After that you settle in for a while in forested trails with lots of open understory, moss and roots to navigate (moderately technical with the mud), and views of ponds, marshes, streams, and small waterfalls. It’s a lot of fun to navigate, but be careful on the singletrack trails as they can get very muddy and have some quick turns and hazards (water crossings, larger root systems) to navigate. Overall a fun atmosphere and beautiful local trails that feel fun to explore.
