This race is fantastic. Organized very well, from course lay out, aid stations, shuttles etc. One of the highlights is the community of Missoula. Spectators cheering everyone on along the way, someone was playing a baby grand piano on the side lines at about mile16 or so. It was just really fun to feel the energy of the spectators!Race course is really well layed out and easy to follow. I plan on running this race again next year for sure.

Off trail running, rocks, mud, ruts etc.. worth the time. Lots of participants, early morning starts off colder temps, warms up after an hour or so. Make sure you give yourself plenty time to adjust for elevation. Hydration is key to avoid altitude sickness. Also be bear aware, don’t be to concerned, but pay attention as black and grizzly bears frequent the area. Remember have fun!
