I have completed the Town of Celebration Half Marathon four times, twice in cold and rain, which I enjoyed very much! I plan to run this race every year I am able until it is terminated. This race is extremely well managed, has many enthusiastic volunteers, good LEO coverage and intersection volunteers to keep you on course and free of traffic. Pre and post run information is excellent and timely and the expo is always excellent. The course is a beautiful residential community with enthusiastic denizens offering encouragement and goodies in front of their homes. Great food and music feast at the end enjoyed by all.
If I had to critique the bad I would encourage a staggered start to preclude the bunching-up in the first few miles and to help ease traffic at chock points on the course. The pack start is always difficult to get open running space in the first miles.
