This was my first 50k and I couldn’t be more pleased with the whole experience. The course was entertaining and with a few very steep climbs, the views and scenery kept you engaged. The course was very clearly marked and the volunteers/staff were all very friendly and encouraging. I would strongly recommend this race to anyone and look forward to participating in it again.

This was my 4th full marathon and although it was a trail race, it did feel more like a road marathon than I expected. The course is mainly flat which is great on the knees, but a little boring and monotonous as you crank away the miles. The race production was fantastic as with all Brazen races. There was a medical emergency on the course and the staff did a great job navigating us through it. I’d highly recommend this race for anyone wanting a potentially quick race with minimal body damage. But if you’re looking for a scenic and entertaining course, this may not be the one for you 🙂

Get there earlier than you want in order to get on the shuttle with plenty of time to get to the start. If you pick up your bib race day, you need a lot of time to park, get on the shuttle, pick up your bib use the bathroom etc. The course is awesome, quick with some rolling hills and beautiful views throughout.

Get there early to secure closer parking. Race t-shirts were awesome, but ran pretty big. I typically wear a unisex M, but should have ordered a S, there were none left at the end of race to exchange :(. As with all my experiences w/ Brazen Races, lots of food choices to choose from at the end, but no beer 🙁

Lots of elevation in this race, just when you think the climbing is over, there is more 😛 Beautiful course, be mindful of the roots and rocks. The closest bathrooms were closed, give yourself a few extra mins to use the further bathrooms. Hot water was gone by the end of race which was a bit of bummer, as it was freezing and I would have loved to warm up 😉 Great race and awesome T-shirt graphic! (With Brazen Races lately, I’d order a size smaller than usual)
